"Take Your Dog to Work Day" is Everyday!

Most dog owners like non dog owners have a job but what do you do with your pet for those 8+ hours a day? Most lock them in crates or let them sleep around the house while they're away. Not me. My kids actually go to work with me on a daily basis and they absolutely love it! No daily walks or long trips to the local dog park after a long day at work to wear out my kids. Everyday is like a tiring field trip! Getting ready in the morning is quite a routine when my four know that putting on my bright red shirt means it's a work day and once I put the hair straightener up on the hook, that means I'm done getting ready and it's time to eat, then potty, then get they're harness on for the car ride. This is my usually view in the mornings while getting myself ready.

Nanook usually stay in bed to get "5 more minutes" like most kids beg for, but after the food bowls are served he's up and ready to go outside. Shortly after their harnesses are slipped on we are ready to go to work!

(Why else would I have a Tail Wagin' Wagon!)

My dogs have their own space they stay in daily and each have their favorite activities they do throughout the week.

Here's one of their Outdoor Patio dorms

August and Kodak don't do as well in daycare since my pack has grown to four dogs so they hang out in their room all day with excessive potty breaks and occasional play times together. Sometimes dogs can become over protective with a larger pack and don't do as well socially with others but that's OK because I have my own daycare in my own home! Ha ha.

This was Kodak and August when they did daycare. Always curious.

Nanook will hang out in their room and sometimes up front when we are slow unless he decided he'd rather stay home and sleep in with Daddy. He's become a lazy boy now that he's had three siblings to wear him out. He takes advantage of Daddy time when he can.

Dublin on the other hand will spend 50% of her time in the room with her siblings and will spend the other half up at the front desk doing her part time job of being the official "Desk Greeter" and she's made a lot of friends doing so.

Meet Dozer, Dublin's Boyfriend. He weight about 120lbs at the current date and is still growing but these two grew up together as pups from just a few months old. To Dozer and Dublin, size doesn't matter as long as they can play a good game of tag.

One of Kodak's favorite things to do at work is swimming! He is a natural fish and when Sherry Lynn our swim instructor is there, he is all for swimming a few laps in our heated pool.

August tried swimming once and Didn't take to it all too well....lol.

Neither did Dublin since she wouldn't take one step into the "Big blue thing". And Nanook wouldn't even go into the pool room! Ha ha.

August being the pack dog that she is, she loves other huskies and I've noticed the breed does tend to stick together. When her Boyfriend Shamrock is there or her best friend Kenai comes to play She enjoys seeing her pack pals.

All the pups are excited to come to work and indulge in some activities and let's not forget the unlimited treats! But at the end of the day they are eager to come home to a full food bowl and a long nights sleep. They pass out real quick!

Ready for bed!

A tired pack makes for a long nights sleep for Mommy and Daddy both.
